Moving Loads On Rails

Move Heavy Loads on Rails

Steel rails are used by the railroad and manufacturing industries as a method of reducing the rolling resistance of extremely heavy loads. Often the rails form the basis of the production line itself and loads are moved along the rails from one work station to the next, into and out of autoclaves, drying kilns or maintenance workshops. Since the wheels on the rail bogies, rail cars, wheelsets, transfer cars, and kiln cars are flanged to prevent the load from coming off the rails or, the rail itself is designed in such a way to prevent the wheels from deviating left or right, it is possible to apply a pushing and pulling force both in the center of the load and also offset to one side of the load with an extension bar. This is particularly useful when there is an inspection or open pit between the rails. To safely move the load, the extension bar may be temporarily extended, either to the left or the right, which enables one of our PowerPushers to apply a pushing or pulling force.

I just wanted to tell people how good your product is. I started working at my shop in 1994. We still use that same Automotive PowerPusher nearly every day!! Sure, we’ve replaced batteries and a chain just recently, but all in all, this thing has been the workhorse of our shop. Something that has lasted almost 30 years must be right!"

Brian M. - Caliber Collision

The quality and capability of PowerPusher’s E-750 Electric Wheelbarrow allowed us to remove over 1,500 cubic yards of clay earth from the basement of a hospital and import stone and concrete. We own “4” E-750 Electric Wheelbarrows and have put over 900 miles of travel on each unit with minimal issues and they are still running as strong as the day we received them. Customer service was very responsive and concerned about us keeping our project going when questions came up. Well worth the investment and partnership with PowerPusher!"
