Hazardous Duty Power Pusher ™
The Nu-Star Power Pusher Hazardous Duty Model is certified for use in a Hazardous Class 1, Division 1, Group D area as defined by the National Electric Code (NEC) Chapter 5 Section 500.5 (B) (1) and 500.6 (A) (4). Additionally it has a Temperature Classification Rating of T4 (135 C).
Additional standards utilized were:
- UL 583 Electric Battery Powered Indutstrial Trucks.
- NFPA Standard 496 – Standard for purged and pressurized enclosures for electrical equipement.
This equipment has been constructed to provide an end user the ability to push or pull, while steering a specific application, i.e, cart, dollie, vat, etc. while in a hazardous location up to and including Class 1, Division 1, Group D-T4. It is up to the purchaser of this product to ensure that the area of use is within the scope and guidelines of the definition for the rating as described in the National Electric Code (NEC) Chapter 5. Use of the equipment for any other purpose, or modifications made other than by NuStar, Inc., invalidates the certification of this product.
